Today we watched Youtube clips of the WOW show in preparation for creating our own wearable art pieces.
We were allowed a full newspaper, 4 sheets of A4 coloured paper, 3 metres of tape, 3 metres of string and 6 straws.
After researching options for an hour, we then had 45 minutes to create our masterpieces before parading them in front of Room 1, our Junior class. Mr Orr and Mrs Maclean were our judges for the event.
The criteria we were judged on was:
1: The outfit lasting the length of the runway show and judging time.
2: Creativity.
3: The model remaining in character for the entire runway show.
4: The name matching the art piece.
Our class has grown to 32 this year and you can bet your bottom dollar that we will have plenty to share with you......so keep watching! Please leave comments - we love the feedback!

Physical Challenge: Survivor Day 4
This challenge was hilarious to watch unfold! One team member was blindfolded and had to be directed by another team member to collect five coloured balls and return them to their team's hoop. The callers were not standing anywhere near their team hoop which made it even trickier for the blindfolded person to follow.
Brain Challenge: Survivor Day 4
This has probably been the hardest of the Brain Challenges so far!
Teams had to read a poem and then use coordinates to identify letters on a map. Once they had found all of the letters they had to rearrange them to create two words - these words would help them find the treasure on the map!

Survivor Winners Day 3
Our Day 3 winning team secured a massive score of 63 out of 78 - the game is getting harder and teams are having to work more strategically to get maximum points in each category.
So well done to 'BG' who are made up of Adana, Nikia and Sam. Their team made it to 1st place with only one point difference!
The overall winners for the game so far are still 'Crash & Burn' with a total of 218 out of 254. They are now only 6 points ahead of the 2nd place team - BG!!!

Survivor Brain Challenge Day 3
Our brain challenge was based around building a Lego bike and man in the fastest time possible. Only one team member could complete the challenge by following the construction booklet and making sure there were no spare pieces at the end.
Survivor Physical Challenge Day 3
Our third physical challenge had us sitting on imaginary chairs outside. In teams of two we had to lean against the classroom wall and keep our legs at a 90 degree angle to imitate sitting on a chair. Teams were disqualified for not following the instructions or receiving 3 warnings. Team members had to encourage each other because if one member dropped out the other team member had to forfeit as well. By the end of the challenge there were only two teams that earned points - a tough and painful challenge!
