Who is our winner of the Merit Award this time?

A massive congratulations to Kennedy who received our Merit Award for her excellent skills in creating Narratives.  Well done!!!

Merit Award Winner

Our congratulations goes to Tessa for winning the Student Merit Award for our class.  Tessa was one of 14 students nominated for "always working cooperatively in groups situations".  Tino Pai!

Matariki - Kaheru

Our third BP Challenge had us all making Kaheru (Maori Spades).  We only had a small amount of newspaper, a piece of cardboard, some string and tape.  The challenge involved us moving a pile of sand back to the sandpit with the winning team doing it the fastest.  Brock, Tessa and Samuel won the challenge.

During the challenge a few teams experienced a spot of 'spade failure'........

All of our art this term is based on being 'Influenced by Culture'.  These are our second art pieces titled "PACIFICA RIBBONS".  We spent time looking at designs and patterns from Islands in the Pacific before deciding which ones we wanted to replicate on our 'ribbons'.  We completed the art work by using blocks of colour in the background.
