Olympics: Shootouts

Our second to last event was Shootouts.  Each team had a set amount of time to shoot as many hoops as possible.

Olympics: Cinnamon Challenge

Following on with the 'food' theme, Jamaica organised a Cinnamon Challenge where each team had to eat a teaspoon of cinnamon before sprinting to the end of the field.  Not the easiest challenge to complete but definitely one of the most entertaining!

Our second food challenge involved doing a variety of exercises before attempting to eat the greatest number of lemon wedges!

Olympics: Fluffy Bunnies

Day four of our Olympics involved two food related events.  One was Fluffy Bunnies where two contestants attempted to stuff as many marshmallows into their mouths while still being able to say 'Fluffy Bunnies'.

Olympics: Chocolate Challenge

Our third day of Olympics saw us taking part in a Chocolate Challenge.  We had to eat a set amount of chocolate with our hands behind our back in the fastest time.

Olympics: Extreme Rob the Nest

Our second event was Extreme Rob the Nest......five minutes of hectic running from nest to nest, robbing them of their tennis balls!!!

Olympics: 400m Mixed Relay Medalists

Day Two of our Room 6 Olympics took place with the 400m Mixed Relay.  Teams had to decide who was going to be carried during each of the relay stages.  The first stage was a piggy-back race and the second stage was a queen seat.

Olympics: Best Paper Plane Challenge

Our second event was the Best Paper Plane Challenge hosted by Australia.

Each team had five minutes to make one of the paper plane designs on offer.  The plane that flew over the greatest distance won the challenge.

Olympics: Crossbar Challenge Medalists!!!

The Crossbar Challenge was our first Olympic event hosted by Greece.  Each team had to try and kick a soccer ball up to the crossbar.

Room 6 Olympics Begins!!!

Today our Room 6 Olympics began with an Opening Ceremony and two events being completed.

The Opening Ceremony involved each team entering the stadium (school field) with a flag bearer at the front.  Then we had to perform something - a welcome statement, dance, song or skill associated with the country we are representing.  The Italian Team tossed pizza dough!

After the formalities we all posed for our Team photos before the first event took place.  Here are our teams.
